Her Rite of Passage
"Her Rite of Passage," is a comprehensive manual that guides you step-by-step on how to design, develop and carry out an African-centered rites of passage program for adolescent girls and young women. This guidebook will help you: understand the formalized rites of passage process, incorporate ritual, ceremomy and interactive activities into your program, gain a better understanding of what African-American girls need in order to succeed, facilitate culturally relevant workshops and plan the initiation retreat and crossover ceremony. Additionally, "Her Rite of Passage" presents a 42-session curriculum based on the 7 principles of Kwanzaa.
