For most of my professional career I've been privileged to work in the human service sector serving children and families in a variety of ways. For the most part, my passion has been around developing programs and products for girls and women. But I've had an array of dynamic work experiences.  I've worked as a director of youth programs overseeing a variety of school-based, educational, after school and social enrichment programs for children, teens and families. I've worked in the child welfare system ensuring that youth in foster care had access to the resources they needed. As an advocate ensuring that girls and women had a voice. As a consultant to nonprofits designing curriculums, writing grants and trouble-shooting barriers to workplace productivity. As a corporate trainer providing employees with practical people skills. And as a motivational speaker inspiring others to think bigger and turn their stumbling blocks into stepping stones. No matter how I served the common thread was always excellence, empowerment and action.  My company, Strategies for Empowered Living Inc. was a natural outgrowth of my mission to inspire others to reach new heights of personal and professional excellence and effectiveness through teaching, speaking and product development.
